Trend: Lolita Hijab Fashion

Kawaii and hijab finally met.

Just recently, photos of young hijabis incorporating lolita fashion with hijab has been circulating and gaining popularity in social networking site, Twitter. Some netizens were actually amazed at how lolita can be hijabified.

Lolita fashion (ロリータ・ファッション Rorīta fasshon) is a fashion subculture originating in Japan that is based on Victorian-era clothing, but the style has expanded greatly beyond Japan. The Lolita look began primarily as one of modesty with a focus on quality in both material and manufacture of garments. Here are some compilations of tweets across the globe on Lolita Hijabis:

Hijabis from the photos are Alyssa of thehijabilolita.tumblr.com and Noor of myediblerainbows.blogspot.co.uk and Dian Pelangi with friends. They are from the US,UK, and Indonesia, respectively.

This only proves that hijabis around the globe can hijabify just about everything. And there is nothing hindering anybody from what they are interested of.

What can you say about this trend? Are you loving it?
